On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Dialysis Department and the 20th anniversary of the Vascular Access Unit at the Trbovlje General Hospital, we will organise a one-day professional meeting, which we have named Trbovlje Days, to be held on October 16, 2026.
The official languages of the meeting will be Slovenian and English, with lectures by guests from abroad.
In the morning, we will hold workshops at the Dialysis Department of the Trbovlje General Hospital, in cooperation with the Vascular Access Society.
In the afternoon, two sets of lectures will be organised (at the Delavski Dom Trbovlje), with the possibility of a constructive exchange of professional opinions and refreshments between the sets to help maintain greater concentration during the professional lectures.
The meeting will be registered with the Medical Chamber and the Nursing Chamber to obtain credit points and certificates of attendance.

After the meeting, the proceedings will be published as a supplement to Medical Reviews.

- There is no registration fee for participation in the workshops; only registration is required due to limited places.
- The number of participants in each workshop will be limited to 15. If interest in the workshops exceeds the estimated number of available places at an individual workshop, the workshops will be repeated in an additional period.

- The lectures will be composed of a historical overview of both activities at General Hospital Trbovlje, plenary lectures, and presentations of our own research, as well as the inclusion of patients/relatives in the professional programme.
- The lectures will be enriched with presentations on the hospital and the local environment.
- There is no registration fee for attending the lectures. Prior registration is required to facilitate the organisation of the meeting and improve its quality.
